The Department of Computer Science is doing research in Algorithm and Systems Engineering.

• Algorithm Engineering addresses design, implementation and mathematical analysis of algorithms based on close links between theory and practice.
• Systems Engineering deals with modelling, realization and operation of reliable complex hardware, software, information and communication systems.

In the interaction of these two fields, we create new computational solutions -  together with other sciences, the economy, and in responsibility for our society.  We teach and research interdisciplinarily.
