In the Bachelor's degree programme Computer Science you will learn

  • methods and concepts, which form the basics of Computer Science. Among those belong Mathematics, docussing on discrete and IT-related concepts, Logic and Theoretical Computer Science.
  • analysis and development of data structures and algorithms.
  • the theory and practical experience of software development and programming.  You will learn basic principles and differnt classes of programming languages. But Computer Science does not equal programming. You will learn how to plan, develop and document big software projects in a team.
  • You'll get to know technical areas of computer science, for example the internal realization of  circuits and the architecture of computers.
  • You will learn the theory and the usage of systems, e.g. information and communication systems.

By choosing an application subject from the courses offered by a different subject you will learn how to use Computer Science to solve practical problems.

Further information on the overview of the structure of your studies you can find  here.

You can study Computer Science as well in combination with another subject as part of a  Dual subject degree program . Here you can for example take courses for a  teaching degree.
